 Managing money is not just simply paying your bills each month and spending the rest. Money management is not shopping first and paying bills last. Or perhaps you are a more responsible person; and you have a 401K deduction and a little going to savings.
Some of these things are only parts of managing money.
Do you know where your money is going? How much control do you have over your money? How much is savings, investments, debt, living expenses? What is your asset value? More importantly what is your Financial Independence Number?
Many people are unaware of these simple things because they are not managing their money. It is important to learn how money works.
In order to change your personal money situation you must commit to doing the following:
1. Spend less than you earn
2. Make your money work for you.
3. Be prepared for the unexpected – emergencies
